From April 15th until about June 15th, the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale will be under construction as part of a $108 million ongoing freeway widening project.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises to allow extra time to use the detour routes, which include Hayden Road to Cactus Road or 92nd Street to Cactus Road.
After the Shea ramp is complete, other on- and off-ramps all the way to Princess drive will undergo widening modifications.
"The widening project will add one lane in each direction along 4.5 miles of the Pima Freeway north of Shea Boulevard."
This Loop 101 Widening Project was made possible by the voter-approved Proposition 400 and also includes:
converting the Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard interchange into a diamond configuration
installation of new signs, traffic signals and lighting
